TECT Power's specialized airfoil milling process gives us the capability to produce airfoils with complex geometries, tight tolerances and thin cross-sections. We also have significant experience machining high-temperature alloy turbine blade castings – typically holding tolerances of .0005 of an inch. With advanced computer-aided design and inspection capabilities, TECT Power can design machining processes that compensate for variations inherent in the forging process, enhancing the overall quality of the final product. TECT Power can produce aerospace, industrial and steam turbine blades. Our experience producing blades goes back to the original aerospace turbine engines more than 60 years ago. TECT Power manufactured the blades for those engines, and now we put that experience to use creating a wide range of advanced blades. We can manufacture large and small blades from a wide variety of source stock, or we can machine from bar stock. We even offer concurrent engineering and development services to support our manufacturing capabilities.
TECT Power produces airfoil blades in overall lengths from 0.67 to 37 inches with chord widths of 0.54 to 14 inches of stainless steel, aluminum, nickel alloys and titanium. TECT Power produces turbine and steam turbine blades in overall lengths of 3.50 inches to more than 40 inches with chord widths of 1.50 to 14 inches of stainless steel, aluminum, nickel alloys and titanium.
Metal Leading Edges (Mle)/Leading Edge Sheaths
TECT Power's MLE process is unique to TECT. The patented forming process produces structural components for composite and metal matrix fan blade assemblies with unequaled quality. This is thanks to our proprietary TECT PowerForm ® process, resulting in low initial part distortion and greatly reduced production time.
TECT Power has produced metal leading edges/sheaths with overall lengths up to 32 inches and cavity depths of 5 inches, with capability beyond.
