TECT Power demonstrates its commitment to investing in winning technologies. We developed a proprietary sinker EDM machine and process that is the only one of its kind in the world. With it, we can machine airfoil shapes with great flexibility, efficiency, and accuracy. We also utilize many other specialized machining processes, such as chemical milling and abrasive flow milling, which are integral parts of many of our proprietary manufacturing processes. All of these areas of non-conventional machining expertise add to our robust manufacturing capabilities and further complement our integrated supply chain.

Our innovative techniques make TECT Power a worldwide leader in electrical discharge machining for the gas turbine engine industry. In addition to standard sinker and wire EDM capabilities for seal slots, tip cavities and other features, TECT Power has developed a unique sinker EDM process for airfoil shapes. It utilizes equipment of our own design that employs eight independent heads on a single workpiece. Combine our unique machines with our internal electrode design capability, and you have a best-in-class solution for solid diffusers and other gas flow path related products with very low variation between passages.

Abrasive Flow Machining (Afm)

TECT Power's AFM technology produces superior part finishes and part dimensions for critical turbine engine rotating components. This process is particularly suited for machining profiled edges onto complex critical rotating components.
